Woman who fell down Yosemite’s Half Dome and lived – is back

Remember June 2009?  A man slipped down off the Half Dome cables in a hailstorm and died.  I was there that day and came down at noon when a cloud began dancing on the north side  of the rock.  To the south it all looked clear. But this spelled danger and I got down. At the base of Sub Dome, it got really cold and the hail began. People were still going up past me towards the cables.  It rained the rest of the day – a man slipped and fell to his death.

The week before, a woman slipped and fell down 150′ at speeds approaching 35 mph and was saved by an upward facing slab.  She’s recovered. It was 3 long years of therapy. she had major brain injuries and fought to regain herself. I recently met her for lunch in the Bay Area and recorded this interview.  A miracle.
