Tuolumne Meadows is finally open and ready for you!

After months of being submerged under many feet of snow, the upper areas of the park are now thawing out.  Tuolumne Meadows is a nearly 9,000 feet and with all roads clear and blue skys overhead, you are free to poke around up there.

Olmstead Point is my favorite on the Tioga Road.  I love erratics. Amazing how they got there!

Load up on your hiking stuff at the Tuolumne Meadows Store. It is now open daily from 8 am – 8 pm.

Tuolumne Meadows Lodge and Grill willbe filling your need for grease…they are scheduled to open for the season on Tuesday, August 1. Gee, August 1 sounds like the end of the summer. :>(

The Hikers Bus from the valley is scheduled to begin Tuesday, August 1 – Sunday, September 10. Check the Schedule and fares <here>.

Learn how to see Giant Trees while Mariposa grove is still closed.

The  Valley to Tuolumne Meadows Shuttle will also begin to run on Tuesday, August 1 – Sunday, September 10.

If you’re a Flora person, look for these: alpine aster, nearly-black sedge, King’s ricegrass, western bistort, Breweri’s reed grass, dwarf bilberry, thread-leaved sedge, pussy-toes, Sierra lodgepole pine, and Ross sedge.
