Roll over at Hetch Hetchy

Half Dome – Yosemite Musing
A friend of a friend was involved in a triple roll-over last Tuesday at Yosemite. They were on the way to Hetch Hetchy when the driver hit a gravel patch on a curve at 25 MPH. There is no guard rail there and they flipped over 3 times before coming to rest at the bottom.

All walked away.  All were wearing seat beats.  None of the airbags deployed (front or side) as they designed for front/side impacts, not rollovers. Buckle up.

Did a nice training hike up Fremont’s Mission Peak with Bob S. today. It was jammed. Nice weather though. A guy put a flag up top. Nice to remember our fallen warriors on this day.

Unrelated thought worth quoting: “There be no lasting sorrow for the death of any of Nature’s creations, because for every death there is always born a corresponding life.” – John Muir
