Yosemite National Park is seeking candidates interested in a park dispatcher. Dispatchers provide all emergency and non-emergency law enforcement, fire, aviation, search and rescue and emergency medical dispatch ommunications for the area. The park’s communications center is also a primary answering point for all 911 calls in Yosemite and is an alternate answering point for 911  services for Mariposa County. The center is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Duties include:

Operate within a number of computer networks

Handle 911 telephone calls

Function as fully qualified emergency medical dispatcher

Monitor activity of public safety field personnel and assists in coordinating response to incidents.

Maintain current status of public safety units and ensures proper radio procedure.
