President Trump has proposed a $2.7 billion budget and plan which would address the NPS maintenance backlog. The idea is to take revenue from federal energy leasing and development and provide up to $18 billion to help pay for repairs and improvements in national parks, national wildlife refuges and Bureau of Indian Education funded schools. Spending will also be on 5,500 miles roads, 17,000 miles of trails and 24,000 buildings. No word on Yosemite’s take.
