It’s pretty much business as usual at Yosemite. Roads are open and attractions are ready to rock and roll. Even the “ice cut” section of the John Muir Trail (between Vernal Fall and Nevada Fall) has opened for the season. Yosemite Valley Stables began the half-day rides to Clarks Point. The Glacier Point and Grand Tours have begun service for the season. The Grand Tour is an 8-hour tour that runs through Yosemite Valley, Glacier Point, Wawona and to the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias. The tour departs daily from Yosemite Lodge at 8:45 AM. The Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias is open and the trams are running! A free Shuttle available from the Wawona Store Parking lot.
If you are on Northside Drive, Southside Drive and the Valley Floor, crews will be striping and painting stencils for about a week.
Unrelated thought worth quoting: “Knock three times on the ceiling if you want me. Twice on the pipe if the answer is no.” – Tony Orlando
Editor’s note: Disco Inferno was made popular by the Trammps, not the Bee Gees.
