Yosemite Gazette hit the streets; Rim Fire highlighted

Yosemite Gazette Summer 2013

The Quarterly publication, the Yosemite Gazette, is now available. This issue tells of the Rim fire’s impact. I did an interview of Cat Corbett, a lady who is an ultra-marathon runner. She trains at Yosemite. Believe it or not, she has ran the John Muir Trail and BACK in 12 days. Comments by Congressman Tom McClintock on the proposed Merced River Plan are included.

A couple stories on fishing and one on the High Sierra Camps rounds out the issue – oh, there are several other stories, but I want you to read it for yourself.  The next issue will be out when the snows fall. I plan to do a story on Kim Pedersen, the man who built a replica of the Half Dome cables to practice before his hike in September.

If you’d like a copy look at outfitters, REI’s and coffee shops…if they don;t carry it – ask the manager to get with it!  I’ll send you one for mailing costs of $2.50. It’s 16 pages and big.  Send me a PM if interested.
