Yosemite closes Hwy 120

The rockfall on Hwy  120 above the T at 140 ( at the Merced) contained a boulder about 15 feet high. The park is now saying that it will take a few days to remove the debris and the road could reopen.

If there is structural damage to the road needing extensive repairs, the road could be closed for “several months.” Check road conditions before driving up – consider going Hwy 140 or 41. And bring chains. (Wear a helmet!)

    I did find it on parknews when I knew to search for it, but there is nothing that I can find on either “current conditions” or the Park’s main page.

    and the concessionaire does have it on the main page of
