Tunnels on Big Oak Flat Rd being repaired – Delays

There is single lane traffic control via a light at the tunnels into the park. The three are being upgraded inside.

You will have one lane to stay in as you go through the tunnel. Crews will be visible. No “follow me” truck, just on your own. Like at the Ferguson slide on Hwy 140.

There are portable traffic lights but at the times most of us go, it’s no big deal. The crew will march from tunnel to tunnel until the work is done by the end of May.

One Response to Tunnels on Big Oak Flat Rd being repaired – Delays

  1. Maureen L says:

    Thanks for posting this, Rick.

For those of us who come into the park from the west, driving east on 120 is a popular route.

I’m grateful the park has kept it to 15 minute delays on weekdays!
