Colin Delehanty and Sheldon Neill hiked over 200 miles around Yosemite and set up their HD camera rig to gather time lapse footage. This was their second Vimeo offering – called Yosemite HD II.
Off and on over 10 months they spent 45 days at the park to obtain this footage. Add editing and production time, this was truly a labor of love. They hauled over 70 pounds of special equipment that helps capture moving shots. Using a tripod type set up and patience, they were able to show the movements of the stars (actually the rotation of the earth under the stars).
Here’s where the shots were taken from – see if you can recognize them. Best score wins a 2015 Mustang. (not)
