Spring Break at Yosemite??? Huh??

Yahoo is saying they are getting tons of hits on possible Spring Break locations. One is YNP:

Yosemite National Park – A natural high Spring is one of the best times to visit Yosemite, if you want to avoid the crowds. And there’s plenty to see, whether or not there’s snow on the ground. Waterfalls will roar, the lakes will mirror the crystal clear sky and Half Dome will rule over its subalpine domain.

Yeah that’s were 5,000 rowdy college kids want to be – NOT. My Ft. Lauderdale trip last century was a hoot. Memories of all kinds of debauchery. South Padre Island, Datona, Cancun – now you’re talking.

Unrelated thought worth quoting:  Lines form on my face and hands. Lines form from the ups and downs. I’m in the middle without any plans. I’m a boy and I’m a man. I’m eighteen and I don’t know what I want. Eighteen; I just don’t know what I want.” – Alice Cooper

One Response to Spring Break at Yosemite??? Huh??

  1. Maureen L says:

graduate students and college teachers get spring break, too.

so of course I’m planning a few days at Yosemite, even if there’s still not enough snow at Badger Pass for snowshoeing. (I don’t think Badger Pass updates their cross-country info as regularly as downhill.)

flowers may be wonderful on the Hite Cove trail, even with not enough rain.
