Snow at Yosemite

And now today’s blog. But first, a look at the weather. Huh? 4 inches of SNOW down to 6,000 feet? Highway 108 Sonora Pass, Highway 4 Ebbetts Pass and Hwy 120 Tioga Pass are all closed. Bummer if you have Half Dome permits. Dang. Get your chains ready!!

Half Dome 6 pm June 4; it's there somewhere

On a brighter note . . . I hope to see many of you this Saturday, Jun 9 at the John Muir Festival in Groveland/Coulterville. I’ll be giving talks at each. I know the organizers and they are going all out to m akeit a fun family event. Click links <here> And <here> To learnthe details. No snow down that low!!  John Muir walked on what is now J132 on his 200+ mile SF to Yosemite walk in 1868.

Reminder – June 9 is a FREE day at all NPS parks.
