Rush Creek Lodge – now taking reservations for summer 2016

Rush Creek Lodge is the “coming soon” hotel on Hwy 120 after the Evergreen turn-off of Hwy 120. Maybe 8 miles from the Yosemite Gate.  (That’s the Hetch Hetchy road). This hotel is being built from the ground up. It’s the first new hotel near the park in years.

They have announced that they are now taking reservations for stays commencing June 15, 2016.  Earlier indications were for a Spring ’16 opening…I guess that delays tend to happen.

The website gives artist conceptions of the facility and also ENTRY rates for three classes of rooms. Off-peak prices are $215 a night for Lodge Rooms, $240 for Lodge Suites and $265 for Hillside Villas.  Add more gold doubloons for prime season. The “cheaper” rooms can sleep four and the villas can hold 6…so if you divide it out – it’s do-able.

As a promo, they are taking $100 off a 2-night stay – good through December 2016.

Backstory on the Hotel

At least we can stop by for a drink on the way to Yosemite – they will also have a restaurant and a tavern. Oh yeah – karaoke too!  (“Pretty woman walking down the street….”)

I plan to take the missus there to check it all out. HOWEVER – they don’t allow pets. Not even little Yosey (as in Yosemite). Boo.
