North Dome webinar recording ready to view | Yosemite’s little known hike

We had a great turnout at the North Dome hike webinar. The recording is now up and ready. Even if you did not attend or register, I’d like to let yall view it. Go to:

With egg on my face, I need to let you know of some goofs.
1. Want a guided hike? Take a look at our sponsor
NOTE: either .com or .org will get you there.

2. Porcupine Creek is the closest access to the trailhead (it starts there) – Porcupine FLAT is further but still works. Toilet and sign is at CREEK.

3. The western side of Half Dome is NOT the Visor – it’s the Diving Board. Drat – I messed that one up. The visor is the top of Half Dome where we pose for pictures. Sorry – My bad

4. The NFS is proposing taking usable trees out of 30,000 acres of the 250,000 acres burned in the Rim fire (NOT square miles)

Next up: Feb 13th – How to get Half Dome permits. Lottery is in March.

One Response to North Dome webinar recording ready to view | Yosemite’s little known hike

  1. It’s fun doing them. Next month on permits should be attended by anyone planning to do half dome in 2014. Really.

There nothing we can do about no rain….so we might as well enjoy the May weather we’re having. Take a hike!
