Due to poor weather at the Park, the Open House scheduled for today, Feb 29 is being postponed until next Wednesday March 7 from 1–4 p.m. Presentations will include the Half Dome Environmental Assessment.
How bad is it?
Two to four inches of snow accumulation is possible above 2000 feet. Up to a foot of snow is likely around 3000 feet. Up to five feet of snow is expected above 3000 feet. Winds of twenty to thirty mph are expected with gusts ranging from forty to sixty mph. In the high Sierra, winds of twenty to seventy mph with gusts up to one hundred ten mph likely over the Sierra crest. 110!!!!
