New from Camelback

Half Dome – Yosemite Musing
The premier “hydration reservoir” company, Camelback, has come out with a new bladder product. Talk about high tech!  The $60 three liter Omega Deluxe Reservoir comes with a Flow Meter.

It’s a digital gauge that actually measures how much water you drink and how much is left in your reservoir. It will calculate how much longer your water supply will last based on your consumption rate. It has an alert that reads ‘Low’ when you’re down to the last 10%. It also features a large access port (enough to put your hand inside) for easy filling and cleaning. A gizmo also allows you to totally disconnect the hose from the bottom of the bladder so you don’t have to mess with the hose when you are refilling. The $60 is only for the bladder – you need to have a carrier to stick it in.  You can also just buy the Flow Meter and hook it up to your current Camelback system. It sells for $30.

Unrelated thought worth quoting: “Let me take you down, ’cause I’m going to Strawberry fields. Nothing is real and nothing to get hung about Strawberry fields forever.” – The Beatles
