Just when you thought the adventure season at Yosemite was over – well, I guess it mostly is … out comes a new film making the circuit. This one is called Reel Rock 7. It’s on tour at theaters in California now so you should be able to find it near you.
It’s a climbing film with some pretty exciting footage. It’s made up for four individual segments called: “The Dura Dura,” “The Shark’s Fin,” “Wide Boys,” and “Honnold 3.0.” Lots of radical footage and a highlight for us: Yosemite’s triple crown climb by Alex Honnold: Mt Watkins, El Cap and Half Dome in a day.
In other news, the Park Service contracted with Atkins North America, Inc. and their subcontractor, Yosemite Pest Control, to inspect NPS housing units rodent intrusion and determining if there is any damage caused by rodents in the housing units. Hmmm. Let’s hope the hantavirus is gonzo.
