BULLETIN 1 dead 4 injured at Camp Tawonga near Yosemite

BULLETIN – A tree fell today at Camp Tawonga near Groveland in the Stanislaus National Forest. The tree fell on a dining hall and killed one person and injured 20. Four had to be helicopters out to local hospitals. the camp hosts Jewish Children with summer camping experiences. They are headquartered in San Franciso and have been around since 1925. NOTE: Camp Tawonga is located Stanislaus National Forest, not in Yosemite. No further details.

UPDATE: 2 pm Pacific – Adult leader, Annais Rittenberg died from her injuries. A large tree fell on an area just outside the dining hall at 8:30 am today. 4 other adults were sent to hospitals via choppers. No children injured after the tree collapsed on a campfire circle outside of a dining hall. Initial reports of 20 people were preliminary and not true.
