Half Dome – Yosemite Musing

“Is it going to rain on my hike?” “How hot will it be tomorrow?”  You can wing it or you could ask the guys at the Mountaineering store or a Ranger. But now, before your Half Dome hike, you can scoot over to the Valley Visitor Center. In a joint project between the NPS, the National Weather Service and the Yosemite Association, a new weather display is up and running. The display shows the current forecast, webcam views, and current satellite and radar imagery. Pretty neat. It’s located at the window of the YA Bookstore right in the Visitor Center.
