Half Dome – Yosemite Musings

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the Taqueria in Curry Village. Just around the corner from the pizza parlor.  Check out the menu – I mean Taco’s for $3.25! Believe me, this sure beats a bag of trail mix for lunch.  I’ve eaten there and it’s real convenient.  Lines are not too outrageous. Another tip is to get a half dozen the day before your hike and store them in your cooler on ice placed in the bear proof container. Order them dry to avoid a mess. They will hit the spot for lunch on your hike. I suggest bean to avoid any issues with meat staying fresh after several hours. The burritos are good and tidy.

Unrelated thought worth quoting: “Se necessita una poca de gracia. Una poca de gracia. Para mi, para ti, ay arriba, ay arriba.” - La Bamba, Richie Valens
