Half Dome – Yosemite Musings

This series on eateries in Curry Village cannot end without talking about the ice cream parlor inside the Curry Food Pavilion. If you stay off-site or at one of the Lodges, you may not know about it. Inside the buffet area and off to the right is an olde fashioned ice creamery. Really neat. After a long day of hiking and cliff gawking, you can top off your dinner with a nice bedtime sweet tooth delight. I mean ice cream cones, banana splits and most any sundae you would like. The prices are right and the ice cream cold and de-lish! During  a long hike, you will burn thousands of calories – heck, you’re doing your body good to get more into you. Besides your “I made it to the top” T-Shirt, you owe it to yourself to spend a few rupees and get his post-hike indulgence.
