Half Dome – Yosemite Musing

Hello America. I write you today from 13 degrees, 6 minutes 27 seconds north latitude and 59 degrees, 37 minutes, 78 degrees west longitude. If you look it up I’m at Barbados is in the Lesser Antilles. Not to rub it in, but I did a catamaran / snorkel trip yesterday and got fried – front and back. 86 degrees F here. Ahhhh.

I’ve been able to find a cheap internet café from where I write now. Rates of 45 cents a minute at dial-up speeds inhibit frequent internet connections on board the good ship lollipop. Thanks for checking in.

I hope you all got the consumer goods you wished for during the annual gift exchange. My nephew and nice are getting to old to give dolls and model airplanes to. Yeah I guess late teenagers just want currency. Nothing beats a Red Ryder double action carbine BB gun with a wood stock and a thing which tells time.

I’ve finally been to poke around the Yosemite sites and it seems everything is dead over the holidays. Since I  have bandwidth today I’ve added a couple pix for your Half Dome fix. Click to enlarge. <<I’m back home the 4th>>

Unrelated thought worth quoting:“How many times is it appropriate to say “Pardon me?” before you just nod and smile because you still didn’t hear or understand a word they said?” – A wise old man
