Monday was the day that Apple entertained thousands of developers in San Francisco at the annual Worldwide Developers Conference. If you are a hacker or tech savvy, you already know the connection to Yosemite. Several shots of Yosemite were shown.
They formally named the latest version of their popular operating system that drives their MacBooks, Air and other fifty devices. For those who can remember numbers better, the software is really called OS X 10.10.
Tim Cook, head of Apple, in his keynote formally revealed the name as YOSEMITE. Kinda cool – In his talk he showed a giant photo of Half Dome. Millions watching through streaming saw the big guy.
The OS has an updated user interface with translucent elements, a flatter design and cleaner icons. I use a Mac for my video editing with iMovie. These monologues are done with a Windows 7 laptop.
More recognition of hiking Half Dome. Of course, now Apple groupies may clog the park to touch it.
Unrelated thought worth quoting: “If I was going to buy a computer, I’d get an Apple.” – Would John Muir say this?
