CBS 60-Minutes showed a repeat of the Alex Honnold segment where he free soloed Sentinel at Yosemite. If you missed it you can watch it via streaming on the internet at CBS.com. Allow about a day for them to load it. Editor note: All I have to do is put “Alex Honnold” in the title and I get a zillion readers!
As a bonus there is a great segment of a South African who swims with Great Whites. Without a cage. Right. Dunno who is crazier him or Alex.
The Crane Flat store is going to be closed from March 1 until about Easter. While the Big Oak Flat Road is being repaired there will not be much traffic so the inn keeper will pack up the bread and peanut butter and head out. Another head for the unemployment line. Automated gas will gladly be served at $5.00+ for a gallon of petrol.
And now for a look at the weather. A winter storm is moving into Yosemite. Light snow may drop down to as low as 2,000 feet above sea level. More up high. Gusty winds. Dark tonight with increasing levels of light by morning.
Unrelated thought worth quoting: “You’re going to need a bigger boat.” – JAWS, the movie
