Just when we are feeling sorry for ourselves and just don’t feel up to hiking, along comes a story that will get us all out and moving again. Trevor Thomas, hails from Charlotte, NC. He was the first blind person to hike the length of the John Muir Trail. Not impressed?…well he’s also the first blind person to complete a solo hike of the entire 2,175-mile Appalachian Trail. And Mt Whitney And the Tahoe Rim Trail.
His pal and guide dog, Tenille are now hiking the 1,000 mile Mountains-to-Sea Trail to raise money for Guide Dogs for the Blind, which is where Tenille came from. Solo. This guy is beyond belief. Follow their hike on the web.
A tip of the hat to Treveo and Tenille.
