Half  Dome – Yosemite Musing
If I haven’t scared the pants off you yet, maybe this photo will.  It was taken looking straight down the face.

Hellooooooo Down There

I like to walk to the edge of the face of Half Dome and then lay down and inch out to the precipice. I get my head out a tad and stare down down down. 2,000 feet to the next non-vertical surface. This is the base of Half Dome just above the area known as the Death Slabs (good name). Then take the camera and hold it out with wrist strap firmly in place. Click off about 10 shots. Somedays there will be big wall climbers coming  up. Anyway, this is the result. A real adrenalin rush.

I love the shot! I have my own take on it. Of course it caused quite a panic with my wife!

Keep up the great work on the blog. I’ve especially enjoyed this month’s series of posts.
